This weekend we went on a road trip to Canberra, all 678 km from Melbourne, well the main purpose is to renew Mum's passport, which expired ages ago! Fancy that......
(We don't know anyone in Canberra, for the record)
I distinctively recognise this building as the "Flag"!
Contemplative pool
It is not just water, it is free flowing, transparent and clear.............
Inside the Parliament House main reception hall
Children's art on display at the gallery
And this is an interesting piece of artwork
On our way back from the Malaysian embassy, we were greeted with a nice piece of architecture when we rounded the bend. This is the Embassy of Finland. Cool huh, Scandinavian architecture...
The Finnish embassy seen from another perspective.
The more traditional Hyatt Hotel Canberra. We thought we were back home in Singapore or Malaysia with this pseudo-colonnial architectural style!
The National Museum of Australia.
I called this the "funny" roof!!!

No trip is complete without a visit to the Thomas and Friends display table at Myers in the city centre. That's the best part of it all!!!
