Yun Yang Buddhist Temple Main Shrine Opening Ceremony

This was an important occasion in the calendar of Yun Yang Buddhist Temple - the opening ceremony of the Main Shrine Hall. I have never seen so many people in the temple till now - devotees, patrons, visitors et al.
Here's a guide map of the Temple compound, located amidst farm steads and horse ranches

The Heavenly Kings Hall flanked by a Tea House and a yet to be completed Multicultural Hall (er....both out of sight......please refer to the last photograph!!!)

Bathing the Buddha ritual as the first passage through the temple

The Main Shrine.
It consists of 2 levels, the ground floor reception hall and Dharma Hall, and the Buddha Hall is on the upper level.

A little bit excited, I am......

......it was a beautiful sunny day!!!

Visiting monks from other Melbourne temples and also overseas, and VIPs from local councils

Devotees and visitors congregated outside the Main Shrine to catch a glimpse of ceremonial rituals and prayer procession inside the Buddha Hall

Lord Shakyamuni Buddha and his two disciples, Ananda and Mahakasyapa

Outside the Buddha Hall of the Main Shrine....where's the crowd?
